Who are we?

My son Jack raced karts for MSport Karting in the UK & Europe and I was shocked to see that in the 21st century the teams were still using stopwatches to record the lap times.  All the karts have expensive dash displays for the drivers, but the team's use a simple stop watch to keep track of live times during testing sessions.

Our background

We believe that with data we can help teams and drivers to understand how to make them go quicker.

I am a successful  technical director of another firm, and developed this bespoke technology to give teams a advantage.

Over the last 18 months we have tested many different technologies, and believe we have found the best solution.  

It will work at any track, no hardware needed to be supplied by the track, no magnetic strips, no timing loops.  

Place one of our small Tags on the karts and then start the app and you live lap times will come directly to your phone.  You are the start & finish line.

ABOUT THE APP

Live Lap Timing is a app for your phone and tag solution that allows you to have live timing straight to your phone. All the data collected is all saved to your phone and all times and conditions are all private to you and your team. This equipment works at any track you go to; all that is required is a LiveLapTiming tag and the app. All LiveLapTiming tags have a special id that only you know on the tag which you put into the app for us to link with the tag. The app and the tag link together which allows us to show you lap times. With this you can have multiple cars/ karts all times at once in the same class (as long as you have a tag for each kart). Before each session we ask you to put in the track and weather conditions so in the future you can see in the save data what the track conditions were like and what times you did to allow you to compare. Where ever you stand is the start finish straight and once calibrated we ask for you not to move until the end of the session. The equipment comes with a LiveLapTiming tag, triple A batteries and instructions on how to use the tag and how to set it up. This is the new way to time your kart / car on practice days and store all the data.
