Frequently Asked Questions

We have tested the app and technology at most tracks in the UK and Europe.
Our unique technology means that our solution can work at any track, and does not need any extra technology at the track to make it work.
Remember:  your smart phone is the start finish line for the lap times.

FAQ's

Q: Why does the app not detect the tag?
A: Make sure the batteries are new in the tag.  When you insert the batteries a blue led on the tag will flash and then flash red, this means the tag has power.  Test the tag on the app to see if it is detected whilst stationary, you should see a -db at the top of the app.

Q: Why does my app not record lap times?
A: Please make sure you press the start button when the kart is within 5 seconds of you.

Q: Sometimes the lap times are a bit out?
A: Please make sure you do not move position in the session, remember your phone is the start finish line for timing.  Also, make sure you are not behind and steel 'Haras' fencing, if you are then we suggest you move to a different location.

Q: How long do the batteries last?
A: We use AAA batteries and good quality batteries should last about 2 months.  We suggest they are removed after each race weekend

Q: Can I buy extra holders?
A: Yes, please go to the Buy Live Lap Timing page on our website and you can purchase from their.

Q: How many tags can be added to the app?
A: As many as you wish, we advise one tag per driver per class, as historic data is stored against the tag
